The geometry of a front end is set up to put the load of the wheel directly under the inner/larger brng. When you start playing around with wheels you change this and start prying on the outer/small brng.If this is just a toy you can get by if it is a daily driver you are asking for more maintanence.

There's also potential issues with the tires rubbing the draglink due to the changed backspace, as well as the scrub radius being altered. Best would be to use wheels for the application of the chassis you're using.
As far as covering the tires, have you considered using 1.5 or 2 ton front fenders with a wider rear fender? I have seen guys do this on other trucks, and it looks pretty cool. Something you might consider.

The truck is done with body and paint. I'm satisfied with the rear tire locations, but the fronts stick out a little and are rubbing my fenders under extreme conditions of turning into steep driveways. I think an inch on each side would fix it and two inches would make it look perfect. | | |
