Hi, jimmy1 , On my 1/2 ton 49 I used a 54 wheel for a few years because when my dad purchased the truck in 74 it had a car steering wheel about 2" or 3" smaller diameter, it made it VERY Heavy to steer.( The horn button will also work.) I now have a reproduction steering wheel on the truck. The inner steering shaft is multi splined so when you change the wheel try to have the front wheels straight. It may take a few tries.
