old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 24 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 24 | I located a 1967 283ci engine for my 67 truck w/ granny 4-spd. The truck is now equipped with a 1969 307 ci engine. Will the flywheel now bolted to the 307 work for the 283? I assume yes but would like to confirm.
Asking a parts person from Advance or Auto Zone just does not work well on old stuff

It can buy old Chevy trucks though. The 400 is externally balanced and the rest of the SBC's are internally balanced. The small block 400 flywheels can not be interchanged with any other small block chevy. | | |
