For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 18 | hello there. new to this forum. i just acquired a '49 chevy truck frame that came with a '54 235 inline 6 w/4speed transmission and drive-train - a 'runner.' i want to swap it over to my '39 Chevy truck to beef up the power but keep the exterior "original." I've got my old 216 and 3 speed out, but need some advice on how this "new" set-up is going to fit and what I'll need to do, etc. (how do i check to see if rear-end/driveline, tranny, front end, etc. will fit?)
thoughts?
