I am restoring a 1953 3100 PU with a 235ci. The throttle rod which is the rod from the gas pedal to the carberator is not usable. Does anyone know where I can get a new one? Can't seem to find one on line. Thanks.

They used basically the same throttle rod from the late 30's to the 50's. The last one I needed I picked up at a wrecking yard.

You can make one by mounting one of these (SC107 -1/4” x 1/4”) on the carb, another on the bellcrank, and join them with a pc. of 1/4” rod cut to length and threaded a bit.

Not original but removes slack effectively.

There are two types of these if you are using your original gas pedal yours will have a ball end (1952-1959) the earlier versions (1947-1951) have a slotted end that uses a pin.

Jim Carter has used parts. Also, I see linkages on eBay a few times each year.
