Is it the 3000 mile oil change reminder or do you have a problem with the vehicle? You should know that answer before you just turn it off. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 69 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 69 | like Green_98 said go to any auto parts store, autozone, advance, o'riely's, where ever, they'll read the code and delete it for free.

This is the gas cap wasn't tight and the light came on called dealer they said tighten the gas cap, did that and the light went out. Now couple weeks later it's back on and the cap is tight, I assume it's still in the computer and just came back on. So I want to clear it, Used to be you disconnect batt for a few minutes and it would reset.Don't know if these newer trucks are the same.

It could be the evap system, if the gasket on the cap is bad. I've seen that a few times. Replace the cap, problem solved. Not saying it is necessarily the case here, but it would be worth checking the cap for a bad gasket.
