For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 29 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 29 | After hearing a rattle inside the passenger door a few weeks ago (almost as if a big bolt was knocking around loose in the bottom), the passenger side door will now open only about twelve inches and then stop. It closes just fine, and it's not pinching on the inside edge when it opens.
I did a search on the site, and couldn't find anything to get me started. Before I start messing with hinges and such, does anyone have an idea about what may be happening?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'd stick a small magnet into the pocket and fish around or high pressure air. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 29 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 29 | Squeeze & Yakima: Thanks for the tips!
I was a cruise-in last night, and another Stovebolter mentioned the check spring. The idea regarding the magnet is a good one --I'm going to go the parts store this weekend and get one of those magnets on an extension rod and see what comes up.
