I have recently reinstalled a 216 in my daily driver and I have oil leaks around the #1 and #6 spark plug holes. The side lifter cover goes up and around the spark plug holes and I was wondering if there was an O-ring or gasket that is giving me troubles. I hope that is all it is. I had 235's in my trucks and this 216 is new to me. Thanks!

Trouble with that design, as you know by now, zillions of places to leak oil. I believe Tom Langdon still makes an aluminum cover for those.
Also, make sure rocker cover is not warped, most of these get over tightened. | | |
