Hey there. I found a guy with doors and a hood off a '66 GMC pickup. I need them for my '66 Chevy. I think they are the same, but I am not 100% sure and I need to know today or tomorrow at the latest....Also, its a Custom cab, that is just trim related right?

If both the GMC and Chevy are regular pickup trucks the doors and hood will interchange. The stainless mouldings (around the glass) on the doors are different between Chevys and GMCs, assuming there is any on either truck.

The hoods also interchange from 1960-66, you just need to have the latch that goes with the hood. There are two styles, the 60-61 hood has a downward facing latch accessed in the gap between the hood and the radiator support. On the 62-66 the release handle is pointing toward the driver side accessible through the rectangular opening in the front of the hood.

There are significant stylistic differences between the two as well, if you are concerned with being correct. Look in the gallery to compare the parking lights and vent holes in front.

Thanks, thats what I thought. I think I will get them. I have my original hood for the latch etc. I don't think the trim will be an issue, we are not doing a strict restoration job on her....
