Yeah bad news is I have spent hours looking for an adapter plate for this. I know the shaft is 1/2 inch too long so I should be able to find one. Anyone know where I can get this?
Also have a 4 speed, 3 speed and steel powerglide all torque tube for sale, cheap.

I think swaping the internals could get expensive, if it's even possible, by the time you buy a new case. Why not go to a good machine shop and interest them in making a 1/2" thick adapter. I wouldn't think it would be any more expensive then a new case.
