rod bolts are 55-60 lbs. ft.

If you need the sequence let me know. Also If you need the clearances, I can give you those.

The rod bolt torque for 49-** are 40-50 lbs. ft..
This info is from my 1951 Motors Auto Repair Manual.

GM parts manual lists the same part number for the rod bolt, all 6 cylinder engines 38-53.60 ft lbs of torque on a 3/8 bolt is extremely high.ARP,who manufactures rod bolts far superior to any original GM bolt,recomends a maximum torque of 50 ft lbs on a 3/8 fine thread bolt. | | |
