Both have the same spare tire mount which is behind the rear axle. It appears to be a slide rail of some type. It is on and angle. It looks like you would have something connected to the wheel, then slide it up inside this rail. then fasten it down? This is as it would be factory installed on a 1950, 3604, the half ton would be very similar.
