Hello all, I did a very stupid thing and was hoping to get some advice from someone. I took both rear wheel cylinders apart to rebuild them, put everything in my parts washer to clean them and now I forget how they went together. I have a spring, 2 rubber cups, and 2 pistons. I am certain the spring goes in the center but what goes next, the cups or pistons? If it is the cups does the dished side or flat side go against the spring? If it is the piston is it the hollow side or the flat side that goes against the spring? I am looking for a very detailed response so I know I am putting this back together correctly. I know the metal caps with adjuster screws goes on last. Thanks in advance, Dave

I take it you have new rubber cups. Put the spring in first then the cups one on each side with the lip faceing towards the spring. The pistons go in next with the flat against the flat of the cups. Clean the edge of the cyl & the metal cup. Free up the adj. screw & lube the screw & inner edge of the cup with silicne grease.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Hey Dave,

In PA, memory is the first thing to go.

Here's a site that should help you remember.
