Anyone have the specs/ design for the plate for the calipers. I figured if it was something I can make it would be a lot better since I guess most just use a 1970-1977 camaro setup from what I am reading.

It should be easy to make. Mine look to be 1/4" thick flat steel using Camero calipers & rotors. Once the rotors are in place, set the caliper where you think they should go, and using heavy cardboard, start cutting them to fit. Mine also use spacers coming off the four spindle bolts to level off all four mounting points.

The axle I have is 41-54, so it uses special bearings for the inside rotor plus a spacer. The outer bearing is OEM Camero. I believe the seal is different to, I can't remember for sure.

Since this is a brake job and a very important part, you are on your own in making them. I am sure most of them are CAD designed with some load bearing criteria.

I priced up the components in a kit once to see if it made sense to do your own or buy a complete kit. its cheaper to buy a complete kit unless you can make a lot of stuff for free.

CAD designed with some load bearing criteria

CAD only does what you tell it to do, it doesn't analyze load, stress, fastener shear, bending, etc. If you try to design an engine with 1/4" main bearings you'll get just that.
In this case, your intuitive sense and comparison with existing should be fine.
If you want to save the last gram of metal, you need FEA.

Wouldn't it be nice for someone to come up with a pattern so we all could benefit. I could use one for the rears.

When my brother needed brackets for his '36 Dodge he could not find any so he made his own. He had a local water jet company do it for him and since it took more than one attempt to get the brackets just right they cost more than I paid for the kit I bought.

I'm not willing to take my truck apart to make a pattern off its caliper brackets. Mine is not using Camaro stuff anyway so it would not be what you want.

If I was the one who designed and was selling the bracket kits I'd be offended if someone simply copied my design in order to make their own. That's taking money away from the people who figured out how to solve the problem.

Heres the whole kit so you can see what else you are going to have to make or get.

Not really, I was looking for a template to make the brackets from. I have 6 bolt wheels yet> I dont know if that makes a difference. I did admire the calipers in your pic. Look better than my old cast ones. Thanks anyway
