The casting number is: 3733373 The date code(?)looks like: L 1 6 Other marks: GM1
I'm really trying to determine what year this is and whether it's a truck or passenger car bell housing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Quite often casting numbers are not the same as part numbers. Could you give us some more clues, is it a V8 or 6 housing, does it have an angled mounting surface or is the mount surface parallel to the ground, is there one hole in each mount pad or two?

The mounting pad surfaces are slightly angled and there is only one bolt hole in each mounting pad. Does that help at all? I will try to post a pic tomorrow.
