I know the tire questions has been run into the ground but i am wanting to put 19.5 semi rims on my chevy 1946 1 1/2 ton that has 10 lug 20 nos rims. My question is does anyone know if the bolt pattern will match or has anyone done this conversion to their truck of same age or any helpful hints would be helpful. I am try to get away without having to get custom cut rims. Thanks

Not sure I'd call 19.5" tires "semi tires", a little small for any semi truck I've seen. However they are quite popular on medium duty trucks, especially the low profile ones.
Look at the 10 lug rims on many Chevy P30 chassis. They are 19.5", and with a little work should fit. Check the fit over the brake drums before buying any.

19.5 tires are used on car haulers and other vehicles where height is critical. They are used extensively on drop deck trailers. However, they use a 15" brake instead of the usual 16 1/2" brake that will clear 20" or 22.5 wheels.

I know they use them on trailers, even some 17.5" on semi trailers, but do they use 19.5" much or at all on semi trucks/tractors? That's what I was commenting about, not the trailers.

Car haulers use them on their tractors. Schneider had a bunch of tractors with 19.5 tires. I'm not sure what they hauled with them, but it killed the resale on them.

There are a number of over the road shipping companies who have used low profile 19.5s' on their tractors with aero kits to get the wind drag down. These trucks look funny if you are behind one bob tail, Looks like they are dragging their third members on the pavement.
