I dropped the oil pan tonight and plan on removing the pump tomorrow. I have already dissconected the oil line in the head. Any tips on removing it would be appreciated. its a 216 in a 1953 3800 (1 Ton)

| | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | Just follow the manual if you have one. Loosen the lock nut then back out the lock bolt(pin). You might have to tap on the pump body to loosen it.You should remove the distributor first.
