What kind of oil pressure do you get with your 216/235 low press engines? I get 10 cold and 5 hot. Maybe I need a new pump.

When we were first trying to get her started, we dragged her behind my Jimmy and in high gear, the engine got up to fifteen with no problems.
I have a '49 216 out of a car. Runs like a top, now.

Glenn, Yeah, that's a little low. You may want to check the oil pump and/or screen and also make sure your main bearings are shimmed correctly. | | |
