These are the rare single axle rear wheel trucks with 20" wheels and a 9ft long step side bed. I need as many measurements and pictures of one as possible. Do any of you know anyone who has a truck that I could get measurements from? I'm not sure how many years they made this bed style, but I think they range from 1935 -1940 or so. I have a spec booklet for 1946 trucks that give dimensions for, what I think you're looking for. I scanned the page but it doesn't come out so that you can see the numbers. At any rate, if you contacted the GM Vintage dept. and asked for a 'spec' booklet for 1946 I think you'd find it useful. They do charge for them though. Good luck with the project. The document that 46Canopy just posted is the one that I was referring to. Good stuff!! It shows a 1 1/2ton, pickup style. Should provide you with good ideas! Did they build them unique for that style of truck? If so what years were they manufactured? Thanks
