Long time back posting after lurking and moderating from a distance... Guess that just proves 53moneypit is doing a fine job. smile

Well after 4 years of not having budget an inch, my '55 Chevy 3600 1st series just moved! ...uh, about 50 feet. It's finally got its own space and I'm back working on putting it together again.

Decided since the carb and gas tank are shot - and just to be different - I'd convert to running on propane. Cobbling together some pieces from the internet (http://www.wps.com/LPG/index.html) including a unit to montior an oxygen sensor and adjust richness as you go. Anyone else done this?

Environmental concerns? Save money on gas? Maybe, but mostly just a fun project that's got me interested in the Old Girl again. I'll bet not a lot of 250's out there with an ECU and electronic ignition... :o

What new with all y'all?

Your project sounds interesting cool and I'll bet your right, darn few ECU bolts period IMO.
