Just look at the book and look at the truck, I bet you will figure it out pretty quick. The small stuff will give the biggest problems. Just remember that and you will have it licked in no time. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | What year is your truck? What model is your truck?
There are three variations of the GMC grill on 1/2-tons alone '47 to '54. I think I can find a diagram of the '54-'55 1st version if that would help.
1955 1st GMC Suburban | 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project | 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic | 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE | and more... It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble... | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 6 | Also readint the assembly manual I found the right Frame picture is there a way to corrilate that frame picture to the rest of the truck I mean from sections numbers or something. I got a cheap digital camera and document everything. I did get a service manual for my old beater and that helped, but sometimes I would get something partially assembled only to find that I had missed a part (or assembled cockeyed).
My advise is to "test-fit" stuff to make sure you have it correct before you do any final torquing of parts.
Good luck!
Everything is different now...
