does anyone know how much you can notch the oil pan above the front axle for more clearance on a ad truck?

drain oil, cut out pan bottom, measure to crankshaft & Rod caps, cut pan to fit, weld on. That will fix it.

Don't forget to add a 2nd drain plug ahead of the notch so you can drain the oil from it. Ferd had to do that on the 302/351 in the fox body and ltd to clear the front crossmember. Lots of guys miss that plug when they change the oil.
