on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 | Hi:
Installed a "Standard" three terminal horn relay for for a 49 panel truck but there are no instructions on how to wire it up. Has anyone installed one of these and if so what wire goes to what terminal?Further, does one of the wires on the horn connect directly to a ground source or does it go back to the relay. Thanks in advance for the answers, I appreciate it.
God bless,
Dave

The relay didn't come about until 1953. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | My 51 came with a horn relay. One terminal is the main power and it connects to the battery lead at the starter. Another terminal is the ground end of the coil and it goes to your horn button. The third wire supplies power to the horn.

- from horn to a ground near horn I put mine from terminal on horn to the bracket it's mounted on .
