I am currently running 235-75R15 on my 72 Chevy Stepside.... They look dinky.. What was the original tire size on this truck and what radial size will best suit it. It doesn't have to be wide, but i'd like the tire to fit better in the wheel well. Thanks

original was 815x15 I believe, and the 15's do look undersized on that series truck - the 16's they put on the 3/4T looked a bit better suited - need to find a taller tire, but you won't fill those wheel wells!

Any suggestions on tire size? 255-75R15?

I've put 31/10.50/15's on that body truck, they fill the wheel wells up nicely. You bhould get 15x8 wheels to use that size for the best perfomence. 32/11.50/15 will fit also, but they are a little tight. If you go to a 16" rim i'd suggest 245-75R16 or 255-70R16, they are the most common sizes in truck tires.

I've got a '67 with 285/60/15 on 15x10 chrome mods. Looks pretty decent, but would look tougher with about a 2" drop.
