Would that be a Formula Firebird?

If you can't fix it with a hammer and screwdriver, you need a bigger hammer.

Starfire4,Yes it is a Firebird. I was wanting to keep the front axle in the truck, but don't know if it was possible to make or find brakets to fit the calipers?

Pretty much anything is possible with enough time and money.

The readily available kits for disk swaps are based on earlier parts and not the strut based suspension of your '89 Firebird. I would buy the kit for the earlier parts if it were me. Far less trouble.
