For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 72 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 72 | Here is my situation guys. The hoses from my heater, coming from the firewall, have been disconnected from the water pump and I am in the process of putting the whole setup back in place. I was looking under the dash and I found a single wired switch with "Air" stamped on it? There is one wire on it that seems run to the rear of the heater motor, not sure yet, need to dig in deeper to make sure. The switch has a ceramic resistor on it and it has a place for what seems to be a fuse. The side where the "fuse" goes, has a small screw with an electrical eyelet attached, and I can see where a wire used to be attached to it, but no longer is and no sign of the loose wire in sight. Anyone have some info? Thanks! | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 |

I guess I forgot to mention, 55 1st series 235 with second series engine. As I was typing it out, I kept reminding myself to not forget year and series, but I forgot what I reminded myself of! I've had some challenges trying to obtain some engine parts for it! I ordered a new cam from Egge, twice, and it was the wrong one. They crossed referenced the number on my old cam and sent me the one that "matched", and the front end of the new cam, where the gear is attached, wouldn't fit through the front jounal?? So I took my original to a shop to have it re-ground. Same with push rods for said engine. Book calls for length of 11+, but it takes the shorter ones, 10 5/8, that are for a 54 235? Keeping records of all that I am doing, don't want to duplicate my errors! What are your block casting and block date codes, and engine serial number code? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 72 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 72 | tclederman,
I will move this over to the Engine forum under the heading, "Block Casting Dates", when I get the info. Thanks! | | |
