Does it matter which hose is where on the pump? (235 second series engine in a 55 first series truck) Thanks! | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | i don't think it matters, the heater core is just a small radiator that doesn't care which way the fluid flows. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | I took My top hose from stat housing to the heat control from heat control to the core and than from the core to the lower heater conection on the water pump but I do not think it matters much it looked better on My truck the way the hoses laid.

From there it goes from the other rad core connection back to the connection at the water pump Use grommets where the hoses go through the firewall.
It's fun to drive and to work on. How much better can it get
