For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 110 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 110 | I am hoping this is the right section for my question...I really couldn't find anywhere better. I really like the look spot lights give a truck; however, was this an option offered back in '51 or a trend that has come thru the years? What would be the right period (make and model) of a spot light if I shall install one in my truck? Are these left and right units or one will work both sides? That one is for the 5". Just plug in the year and make, pulls up the part numbers. There's also listings for 12 volt for the AD cab, too.

If there is, you have to hold it out of the way when drilling for the light. I don't remember if the trucks have that harness, but the older passenger cars have one for the rear lights. Quite a few of those harnesses got drilled when installing spot lights on those passenger cars.

Tried a 5" but it looked kinda wimpy on tis big truck. Didn't encounter any wires when drilling the post, but the dome light wire might be there,so proceed with caution! http://thumb15.webshots.net/t/52/552/4/69/84/2212469840103393295UNpAxq_th.jpg | | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 110 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 110 | That picture looks great that's the look I am going for...I guess is off to finding me some spot lights. | | |
