The easyest way to get one is to find another carb to use for parts. If not I think I have one cannibalized at the shop & will look tommorrow. Also make shure there is a passigeway in the base gasket for vacuum to reach the hole in the bottom of the carb.

You should click on the directory link above, search for carbking, then click on the link to his posts. You will find a gigantic wealth of information on the Rochester B. I distinctly recall an excellent detailed description of what the power piston does and how critical it is.
Better yet, you may get to the post I mentioned quicker by searching for power piston and then pick out the carbking posts.

It offseats a little ball valve which bypasses the main jet allowing more fuel in the mixture through a drilled oriface. As vacuum comes back up, the valve retracts and lets the ball re-seat, leaning out the mixture for cruising. The power valve is absolutely necessary to get good fuel economy and have a drivable engine.
