For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 52 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 52 | I don't have a set of running boards for my '46 1/2 ton. Since I'm going to put a wooden flatbed on it anyway I don't need the rear part of the running board that mates to the rear fender curve. Heavy-duty truck running boards end flat at the back already because they were all flat bed trucks anyway.
Will a large truck running board fit my '46 front fenders and running board mounts? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 | If it's from the same body style year, it should. You will have to knock off the rear board bracket as it will be of no use.

It was made this way as to compensate the step up to the running board due to the larger wheels and height of the cab. I do know that the 1/2 and 3/4 ton are the same. Perhaps you can find a set for the smaller truck that are in good shape from the aft of the cab fwd, and cut the remaining off? Dale
