Well, I got the go ahead for painting the burb. After seeing the one for sale on ebay, my wife likes the original interior color and the green which is what my '52 was painted from the factory, mine was juniper. It is now red with gray interior. http://picasaweb.google.com/OldTrucksRule/52Suburban#5123215430800694002 I know it looks quite nice in the picture but there are many spots of rust and I'd like to fix it properly.

Another thing that might make me lean toward the original color is the fact that I have a lot of the original paper work including the build sheet. I really like the looks of the red though, it gets lots of looks. I'm just looking for everyones opinion.

Thanks,
Cory

The standard 1952 color was Forester Green; in 1953, Juniper Green became the standard color. They look a lot alike.

Does the build sheet state the color? If it does, go with that color. Otherwise, use the color that appeals to you and your wife.

Tough for us to advise you what colour to paint it. If your wife really likes the juniper green, I would lean heavily to that. If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Is red a correct colour for that year and model? Personally, I would try to choose from the list of correct colours. Just my opinion.

A white roof looks nice, period style (on cars at least, I do not know about AD trucks) and mostly, greatly helps keep the interior cool in summer. I have painted the roof white on my '57 and the difference is amazing!
