It starts fine, but make a whizzing sound while it's starting. A couple guys I talked to said it might need shims. I've never done this before. It seems odd to me that the one I pulled off (original I think) did NOT have any shims on it. What do you guys think?

Install the shims ASAP. Start with about .030 and go from there.
