I am looking for some opinions for a steering column swap to something more modern for a 57 shortbed GMC. Camaro clip is installed, and I am interested in opinions regarding which is a good column to use. I was told a late 70's early 80's chev/gmc van tilt column is a good candidate. Any input appreciated. Thank You.

The "tilt" column swap will allow you to more room for the belly, turn signal, and a key lock if desired. The vans had a short column, but most columns are easy to "shorten". I've got an S-10 tilt in my 53, and I moved the exit hole over to line up with the Nova rear steer stub.
