I put new weather stripping on my door openings,(64) and now my left door will not shut! I have exhausted every possible adjustment on the hinges, and striker plate to no avail! I have heard that aftermarket rubber pieces are problematic........what's everyone else doing about this? Is there a company that makes these, that actually fit like original?

Haven't done it YET, but now I'm curious. The right door works O.K.?
Where did you get yours?

I wonder how many companies actually make these things, or are they all made in the same place?

If you can't fix it with a hammer and screwdriver, you need a bigger hammer.

Thanks for those links Markeb. I got mine at "Classic", and they look really nice, but........they are so thick, that you cant even physically push the door all the way in even with the striker plate removed! Now keep in mind, that without the gasket, the door shuts perfect, and has perfect gaps all the way around! My pins are not worn either as this truck has only 29,000 original miles, and there is no drop when opening the door. I wish I could have saved the originals, but they came off really hard, and I had to cut them, with a razor knife. I too was thinking of the "Steele" brand, but they are pricey, and I need more imput from others.

Steele is dependably top quality, many of the repro vendors carry their products - 2 other makers are SoffSeal and Metro Molded parts, usually cheaper ..... ya get what ya pay for
