The float level gauge is something easily made. I have had good luck setting the float level at 1-9/32 inch with 1-3/4 inch drop. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | I just went through this with my carburetor. In the end replacing the needle and seat, which I trusted, corrected the problem. Your carburetor is flooding. Other causes can be a bent float sticking on the chamber sides or a float that has a hole in it. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 46 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 46 | thanks will try that, when you look down the carb when it is running it is just pooring in,the float felt fine but will pick up a kit, thanks trying | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | You probably have a piece of dirt in the needle & seat. Make sure you have a fuel filter somwhereclose to the carb. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
