Hello guys,
I sorta asked this question in a different post but I thought i would just make a new one. I've got a 46 half ton Chevy, I would like to lower it about 2" all around. Nothing crazy, but just for a little better look. I have seen the drop axles, but I was wondering if there are spindles available... Also, I had read in a couple tech articles that people had removed a couple leefs to get the truck even lower, like a 5" drop all together. Can I just remove a couple leefs up front and get a couple inches lower?

Not a good idea to remove a couples of leafs , you'll be bottoming out the front suspension on every bump you hit. You can go with the mono leaf front spring. It lowers the truck without loosing suspension travel. Also use a dropped axle. There aren't any dropped spindles for your stock truck axle.

Thanks for the suggestions.. Who sells the monoleaf setup? Are you saying I can just do that, or I should do the leaf setup along with the axle? I'm only wanting to go 2" or so.

Most of the classic truck vendors carry monoleaf springs, or some other variation of drop springs.

FYI, I got my monoleaf from a local spring shop.

The mono leaf front spring will give you about a 2"( +/-) drop.
Posies, has the spring, Chev's of the 40's , and I think Chassis Engineering might have it also.
