Read all there is to read regarding the swap and have hit a wall with the flywheel. Picked up what I thought was a small block flywheel this afternoon and turns out, according to the casting # 3789733, a big block version. Research indicates that there was no difference in the small to big block flywheels except for some big block 400`s. Matching it up with a 235 flywheel I got with a spare engine, it is off on the bolt spacing. Now I am confused as to which flywheel I need. The articles I have read indicate using a small block flywheel. Anyone have an answer?

That's what I did with my T5 swap. You just need to get a clutch disk to fit the T5 splines. You will love the T5. One of the best things I've done to my truck. I was hoping to upgrade to an 11 inch if possible. If you are using a 55-59 stock truck bell housing, there is no need for the spacer according to all the tech tips I have been reading.

Anyone have an idea of a part number or where to look? Also have a stock 139 tooth, pre 54 along with a good 6 volt starter to swap for the right flywheel. Thanks

Page forward and backward to see the part numbers (and some casting numbers) for the various clutch and flywheel that were available in 1957 and earlier. Hope that this helps.
