| | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 237 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2006 Posts: 237 | I've got a 1958 235 engine, that I'm just getting into. Went to take the water pump off. 4 bolts came out just fine. Pump won't budge from it's location.
I tapped LIGHTLY with a hammer on the pump housing. No budge. I pryed GENTLY between the block and the pump outlet. No budge.

I don't see how you could break anything except the water pump and I'm guessing your replacing it anyway. It just fits in that round hole. Wack it...
