| | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 21 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 21 | Kyle Carter Saskatoon,Sask.Canada Email: [email protected]I decided it was time to update the gallery page for my truck http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/carter_kyle_1966.html It took my dad and I 4 and a half years and an excessive amount of work, time and money to get the truck to this stage, we managed to get it on the road 2 weeks before i graduated high school.Although the truck is not completed(and most likely wont ever be 100% finished) all of the major work has been done and then some. When I bought this truck it was being sold as a parts vehicle, and even that was being optimistic, other then the transmission, clutch, and the internals of the engine every concievable part had to be rebuilt, fixed or replaced.Since these pictures were taken the truck has recieved a new exaust system, as well as a front end alignment and after enjoying it for the summer it now resides in the garage waiting for us to finish a few things as well as work out some bugs. Immediate future plans include priming the inner front sheetmetal with epoxy black primer to match the rest of the truck, putting in a bed floor, cleaning up and painting the back bumper and fixing the gas guage as well as a couple other minor issues. Eventually we will hop up the 6, upgrade to power brakes and disks on the front (truck has already been upgraded to a dual master cylinder) and install an overdrive, or a T-5 or both(I kind of like the 3 speed though) to make it more highway friendly.
