For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 5 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 5 | I am new to Stovebolt. My truck is a 65 short box stepside I bought complete and running. It had a 400 short block with a turbo 350 tranny. The previous owner cut the springs to lower the truck. I replaced those springs with two inch drop springs in the front and four inch drop in the rear. I tore the truck completely down and my brother, Tim did all the body work and Paint. I did the metal work on the box Photobucket while he was working on the cab. I caped the ends of the box, filled in the stake pockets, removed the chain latches on the box sides and the tailgate. I used some old chevy seat belt ends for tailgate latches.
