Does any one know where I can locate the large (approx) 1.75'' spring about 1 - 1.5'' long, that is part of the brake / clutch pedal assembly? Located @ the pivot, that's under the floor.
WHO carries them ??
I have that whole pedal assy out and am restoring it now but would like to freshen up the spring b4 re-assy.

nope that's not it either

it is located on the pedal assy pivot under the floor. most see grease caked around it. it's just a regular type compression spring that has NO tabs or hooks on it.

I've had some luck taking misc parts that I can't find (springs, fasteners, etc.) to the hardware store and asking if they have anything close. We have two hardware stores, one carries a fair sellection of springs of all types & sizes but won't order anything they don't stock. The other doesn't carry many but will order about anything if you're willing to wait a week.
