This means that the yokes on each end have to be inline with each other and in the case of a 2-3 pc. driveline place the slip yoke on the reat shaft so that it's putting the yoke on the opposite end exactly in the same line as the u-joint yoke ahead of it. Hope this makes some sense. I will re-write it after having a chance to think about it more and see if I can say it more clearly. The main thing is that all joint yokes must be in the same position relative to each other. Failure to do otherwise will ruin the shafts and cause tremendous vibration while it lasts.
