It does fine. I just set the pinion angle and then welded the perchs. It sits right on top of my original springs, used tube shocks and it rides pretty doggone good. I had to move it about 1 1/2" to get in in the center of the fenders. I make a "plate" and drilled a hole in it to fit over the center pin on the original springs, then drilled a hole for the lowering block's center pin to fit in... then the rear end sit on top of the lowering block with the hole in the perch fitting on the center pin of the lowering block..... gosh, I'm probably confusing you but this is how I did mine. If you do not need to lower yours then just leave out the lowering block. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 | If you're keeping the original six lug pattern a mid 90s Isuzu Rodeo rear end will work.
The Isuzu Rodeos were fitted with a Dana 44 rear end so parts will be easy to get on your side of the pond. It's 58" wide wheel mounting face to wheel mounting face and has the spring perches in the right place for a 36. The rear end has disc brakes too, lots of them have a Posi diff as well. I am fitting one of these to my brother's '36 low cab 1/2 ton truck at the moment.
Stuart.

It measures 52-1/4 from the inside of the flange to the inside of the other flange. Spring perches are already in the correct location and after removing a few leafs from the springs it sat right down. Don't bother trying to find the correct rear brake hoses, take your old ones off and buy 12" braided lines and the correct adapter fittings. Don't loose your Banjo bolts they are special (7/16 x 24 thread).
