Here's what I have: 69 Pickup with 71 front end, disc brakes.

My problem: the new master cylinder i just put on leaks around the lid. (everything is new)

What I want to do: Use a later model (about 1990) master cylinder because it has a plastic reservoir that should not leak, plus it will look trick.

Any of you guys have any input?

Plastic parts on a real truck? Why not return the new one that leaks and tell them it's not what you paid for. You paid for one that doesn't leak.

well, don't want to take another chance with a poorly machined part.
