Cost for the steel for a 12 x 8 bed was about $650, but shipping was another $275. I'm in the process of installing the lights and should be done by weekend.
A local fabricator gave me an estimate of $3,200 last spring, so I called Kampco for the steel and bought a mig welder. The fabricator was turning away business at the time, but now he is working a skeleton crew and would probably do it a lot cheaper, so you should definitely check with any welders/fabricators in your area. | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 224 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 224 | thanks for the info. i can do the fab work myself. i am thinking of going with the kampco stuff so it does not weigh so much the formed stuff is strong and light. philip | | |
