"Tinker's Toy"

This 1953 GMC pickup was bought in "as is" -completely disassembed- condition for just $100. Frame and axles, cab and sheetmetal & box only. A jigsaw puzzle with no instructions...Just makes it more fun to put back together. It was built at Gm Truck & Bus in Pontiac, Mich. Too good to pass up.
I've had a 1930AA Ford stake truck, but couldn't afford to finish it. Left a note on the inner cowling befor I sold it, that read: "Old fords never die, they just get new owners". I think that applies to all old trucks...keep the 'tradition' going, otherwise the kids will just see 'em in pictures only.
Am a member of the PM1225 steam locomotive group in Owosso since 1977, and in Scouts [DACBSA] since 1998. Big boys love BIG TOYS, deal with it. Hobbies include carpentry, welding, and basic blacksmithing. Will create whatever I need to from scratch.
I drive a CK3500 4-door pickup, so it is a "toy" in comparison.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
