The turn signals and brake lights work, but the running lights don't. I traced it to the brown wire coming out of the Reese box (1 1/2 inches x 3 inches x 1/2 inch). The brown wire (running lights) going in is hot, the brown wire coming out is dead. My thoughts are to bypass the box with an inline fuse for the running lights. Any reason that wouldn't work?

Scott | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 | I take it the "BOX" is a sealed unit ?...if it isnt take it apart and find out WHY it is dead an fix there if it a sealed unit I would do as you suggested and just jump around it, I dont see any reason it would hurt anything.
Ya just gottta love trailor wiring!...seems no matter what I do every spring is a chore in gettin them all workin again between the PA winter salt and weather ...its either the tow vehicle or the trailor that needs TLC.
