The only ones that are really giving me a headache are a few brake parts. Namely, the pushrods for the rear wheel cylinders.
Anybody know where to get these?
Also, I lost, then found, the block that connects the line from the MC to the front brake line/hoses, but I think I'm still missing a piece. Problem is, it was so long ago that I took it apart, I can't remember what it is! (lesson learned)
How does the driver-side hose attach to this block? Is there a hollow bolt that goes through the block into the hose?
Does anybody have one of these out back that they could spare? Pushrods?
Oy....next time I'm taking pictures and not leaving parts in my glovebox! | | |
#56035 02/03/2006 11:32 PM | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | I don't think those actuating rods are available anymore, so you'll hafta find used - not sure, but I may have some in the stash - there are various splitter blocks for where the hoses attach - some have a built-in "bolt" that is the passageway, some just require the hose to be held in the frame hole w/ a crimped C clip, which is what's more commonly available now, and you can find that style of setup at the parts stores

I forgot to mention, it's a 59 3200.
I'm pretty sure that mine has the type with the "bolt", I guess kind of like a banjo bolt? And that is the part I've lost.
The block has one threaded hole on each end, and one larger, threadless hole in the middle, all the way through.
Is there any functional reason why I shouldn't just go to the parts store and find a block that will join the two hard lines and the hose, and just forget about trying to find this piece? | | |

The line was rusted to the T that comes out of the MC. Tried for a few weeks to get it of and couldn't no other parts I tried would work. I think it is a banjo bolt or something. I enede up switching to dual MC. Good luck
