But I have a 55 2nd series and want to add a power steering box too. Would you be willing to shoot me an email and tell me how you did it? Pictures would be great too! [email protected]

Get the steering on center & remove the 4 bolts on top. Pull the cover & sector shaft out. The pitman arm must be off. Then you can put in the lower seals. Remove the lock ring on top & unscrew the adjuster plug holding the shaft down so it wont come up. Then replace the seals in the adjuter plug. When installing the adjuster plug teighten it down all the way & back it up just a little.Their should be no play in the shaft. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum

I figured it would have to be off to fix it. Ans yes the seals are the main thing I need to repair. It leaks around the input shaft.
Thanks guys I might message you guys for more info as I get into it....thanks ahain
