It is round with places for 6 fingers to fit in. The shop manual calls it "Special Tool J-2222". NAPA informed me they couldn't help me but suggested using a punch. I don't want to do it this way as to not destroy the threads. Any vendors carry this or do I use a punch?? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | A good auto parts store will have an axle nut socket for you, but you could as easily use a punch. Napa sucks, at least around here. Theres probably a lock washer between two nuts with fingers that are bent over the notches, these should be pried up with a screwdriver. Then you can remove the axle lock nut.
